MEV March Updates 🌿
This is Iancu from the Modern Eco Village.
Many of you are new here after the recent media attention our project received in newspapers and on social media around the world. We always believed the project would resonate with people, but we were honestly not prepared for the incredible number of messages, calls, and emails we received.
Our team has done a fantastic job keeping up with the many inquiries—from people interested in joining the community, journalists, companies that want to collaborate, and individuals offering their help and expertise. We were also honored that the University of Alicante reached out and generously offered to share over 30 years of research on sustainability and architectural concepts.
Recently we’ve seen a significant increase in interest from people across Spain. While most of our professional team is Spanish, the members of our community remain very international. This is mainly because we haven’t started any formal marketing yet. Our plan was always to begin working with real estate agents and launch advertising after Phase One is built. The attention we have received so far has come almost entirely through organic reach on social media.
Our vision for the Modern Eco Village remains exactly the same as it was three years ago when we started: to create a sustainable community centered around nature, health and nutrition, sports, and a generally slower and more balanced pace of life. Living and working together with our neighbors is what motivates us to create this special place.

Showhouse Progress 🔧
Construction of the showhouse is progressing well. The structure is now up and protected, and although it is not fully finished yet, we expect to complete it within the next three months.
Our February Gathering 🧺
Last Saturday’s gathering was a wonderful event. It is always special to meet people in person, especially those who share the same values and vision for the kind of lifestyle we hope to build here. People traveled from all over Spain, including Madrid, Barcelona, and Toledo, and from many other countries such as Norway, the United States, Hungary, and the Netherlands.
To everyone who made the trip, thank you. And thank you as well to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the event possible. I personally enjoyed the food a lot 🙂

This week we also submitted a significant portion of the essential paperwork for the project. From the outside this might not look like a major milestone, but for us it represents months of hard work and an important confirmation that the project is moving forward as planned.
We are working tirelessly to make this vision a reality, and we are grateful for the support and encouragement from so many of you. After all, this is truly a collective effort.
Next gathering (May 9, 2026) ☀️
On a different note, we have been discussing making the next gathering in May a bit different, perhaps something like a small nature festival. We are thinking about music, local products from the area, and various activities for both kids and adults. If you have any ideas or suggestions, we would love to hear them.
